Little girls grow up, marry and become mothers. This life cycle has taken place since the beginning of time. But, when the bride is your own daughter – the process seems like the first time – ever. Even in a busy household like ours – time stands still.
Our daughter, Priscilla, will marry in a few days. This season brings a reservoir of memories to the surface of a mother’s mind. In the midst of wedding jitters and the surreal mixture of anticipation and reflection – I have flashbacks – of the tender years.
While making sure our house full of boys have clothes that fit for the wedding and our home is ready for company – I find myself humming an old, familiar song. ‘He Plants Me Like a Seed’, Priscilla’s favorite tune as a little girl, which defines her life as a young woman and embodies my prayers through the years.

I plan to return to regular blogging right here soon. Life has been full, for obvious reasons, and I’m working hard to carve out time for the craft I love – writing to encourage.
